I was somewhat disappointed when my back ordered night gown finally arrived today. It does not feel like the flannel that I am used to. Also, the crystal blue is more of a robin's egg or baby blue which is not at all the color I was hoping for. I am going to return it for either the blue or red striped gown and I hope that fabric is more like the flannel that I was looking for. I do love the style, so I hope we can work it out. I think it is a little pricey but was able to use a $10 coupon making it a much better value.
Very disappointed with this night gown. Bought if for Christmas 2011. Have worn it only a few times and laundered only twice so far but the pin tuck-ing is already coming apart and sevearl threads are hanging down the front and the seams are coming apart. Sleeves are not nearly long enough in proportion to the over all size of the garment. Sleeve ends about 3 inches above my wrists. It's big enough to be a tent from the waist down but seems skimpy by comparison in the shoulders and sleeve length. the fabric is very sturdy and will probably last forever, but over all it's not a great value at this price.
One of my favorite things in the world! I live in these! And I've never been the long flannel pattern nightgown type! AND I live in a warm climate! But this is not your typical granny gown. There are elegant touches such as the pin-tucks and the mandarin collar. The fabric is a soft brushed cotton not a thick fuzzy flannel and not itchy in the slightest! Very full comfy cut but fits where it needs too. I'd be thrilled if LL Bean would make this item in solid (darker) colors (Navy, Hunter) and also a lighter weight cotton as well as flannel but I'm still happy to have them at all. So we crank the A/C in the summer even more than we used to but that's okay as long as I can wear my 6 LL Bean vintage nighties (almost) all year long! I have all three colors, the new Crystal Blue being my fave. Give yourself a cozy treat! You deserve it!
