I have been buying these cozy nightgowns for years. These are made with quality closely-woven cotton flannel that always stay warm and comfortable on a cold night. The material never pills or gets shabby-looking like some flannels. They are warm and breathable and guarantee a good night's sleep.
LL Bean brought this nightgown back.. I wore my first one to shreds and was overjoyed to see it again. The husband.. not so much. "Sexy" is not the adjective you'd use for this. Warm, cozy, delightfully old fashioned.. but "sexy?" Not according to my husband. But what does he know? Love this nightgown.
Two years ago, I bought this nightgown. After many washings, it still is fluffy and cosy on a winter's night, a wonderful item.
Because I've been so pleased with it, this year I ordered two more for me, and another for a close friend. The fourth, I had sent to my 80 y/o aunt who's always cold, with warmest wishes.
I'm appalled with the product I have received, and concerned about the nightgown sent to my elderly aunt: the fabric is described as before, 'brushed for exceptional softness.' What we have received is anything but this. I tried laundering the nightgowns to see if that made a difference, but the original one - well used - is much heavier cotton flannel even now, and much softer feeling, than the new ones. Quality control department, please inspect and change back to the original specifications. Very disappointing garments - more like flea market quality, even though the styling and detail is lovely.
