Yes, it is old fashioned, but that is it's charm. Fits beautifully around the shoulders, sleeves are long enough (I'm 5'9) and plenty of extra room around the legs, without seeming too bulky. I bought this for a gift, tried it on before wrapping it, and plan to buy one for myself. I just wish they would make one in a white cotton as well for summer nights. I do hope it doesn't shrink that much as I love the length of it.
I love my nightgown -- it is exactly as wonderful as I wanted it to be. It is constructed to add a bit of warmth at the top, flow easily, and keep me warm in bed and getting up in the night.
It is a great gift to someone in a cold climate (or house). And perfect for being a house guest.
