I wasn't sure about this when I first got it because it didn't look like flannel. But after I washed it the heavy fabric had a nice brushed flannel feel both inside and out. It's long enough to cover my ankles, which usually doesn't happen after the first wash (I'm 5'8"), and full enough that I don't get wrapped around in it when I sleep. All in all a great find for those of us who like to sleep unfettered by our nightwear!
I was going to return this when it came because the material did not look like flannel.However I desided to try it on and it was so soft on and warm. I am now happy I kept it. to my surprise it feels like flannel when worn. I know I will be warm when I go to Washington to see my family
