Came in the mail yesterday. Washed once, minimal shrinkage in length but was already a couple inches above ankle. I'm 5'7", length will be ok with long underwear or socks. I like my sleepwear loose, but this is extra roomy. This is softer and heavier than standard flannel. Not a sexy nightgown, buy for warmth and comfort. Will probably buy another and will get a size smaller.
I have looked at this nightgown for years, and have never ordered it. This year, I finally did ... and I am sorry I waited so long. This is the most comfortable, soft, well made nightgown I've ever owned. I am 5'6" tall, weigh 155 lbs, and bought the medium. The small would probably fit because it is very roomy. I will be ordering another ... I could live in this. The only problem is having to take it off ... I'd love to be able to wear it everywhere!
If you are worried about frumpy, don't buy flannel. This is a great gown, but I wish it were longer. I'm 5'7" and after washing it hits about mid-calf. LL Bean is nice enough to offer it in petite, but how about offering it in tall sizes??? I don't understand why anyone wants a night gown that doesn't go to the ankle.
