I am truly disappointed in this nightgown, especially after reading all the great reviews. To me, the word 'flannel' conjures visions of a cozy fabric with a nap and some weight to it, but this nightgown is very thin and not at all the warm, weighty flannel to which I am accustomed. On the positive side, it is soft, like fabric that has been washed and worn many times. It is roomy and appears to be well-made. I don't want to pay the shipping to send it back, so I will keep it. I expected more from LL Bean. This will be my last purchase.
I have been a fan of these nightgowns for years so I decided to buy another in blue as I didn't have that color. I was shocked by the poor quality of the nightgown I received. The material was thin, the stitching was poor (and was even unraveling in places) and even the buttons were of inferior quality. In addition, the medium was huge and was more like an extra large. This nightgown was completely different than all the other vintage flannel nightgowns I have ordered from LL Bean. I returned it.
Very soft and comfortable nightgown. Not as long as some of the other ones but just a nice length about mid to lower calf. These go fast so order early.
