The design of this gown is vintage but not the material. LLBean saying it is flannel is not true. If your are looking for a real flannel gown this is not it. The material is very light thin cotton. I live in a very mild winter climate area so it is no big deal for me to buy such a thin supposedly flannel gown. Yah I'll recommend this gown to anyone but I'll let them know it's not flannel.
This flannel gown is toasty warm; make sure you don't have too many covers on top! It is VERY spacious; I would have returned my usual S for an XS, had that size been offered. Instead I went for the Petite S, which worked fine. The red color is bright and cheery, but is bold enough to earn a space in the dark laundry pile. Washes and dries perfectly.
