This nighty is cozy, warm and comfortable. It is very roomy, I ordered a medium based on another review I read, and it's perfect, but I usually wear a large in most things. I love the fact that I can unbotton the sleeves and roll them up when I'm washing my face, brushing teeth, etc. I love the fact that it buttons all the way up at the neck for when I'm cold, but enough buttons that, if I get warm, I can then unbutton it. I love the vintage look of it. THANKS L.L. Bean !!
I was very disappointed in seeing the gown when it arrived because it was not white (and red) as pictured, but rather tan (and red). I was also disappointed in the fabric, as I expected a fabric that was warm and fuzzy like common flannel, but this was very thin and not as soft as the flannel I'm accustomed to. It went back.
This night gown is very soft and cozy. It is a great design with the buttons running down the front-not like other nightgowns that are tight around the neck. Just like the old fashioned flannel nightgowns I used to love!
This gown is very cozy, soft and warm. Also very big. I ordered a medium in case it would shrink, but wish I had gotten a small. No shrinkage after first washing. Slight shrinkage of collar after second washing. The fabric is not a thick, plush flannel as I expected; it's more like a brushed cotton. However, I've grown to love it-- the very tight weave, the ankle length, and the high, close neckband make it nice and warm. It's a good weight for fall and spring. I ended up ordering something heavier for winter. The quality and the elaborate details of the pintucks and sewn-in dobby print make this a very good value. I've ordered a second, this time in small. It's getting harder and harder to find traditional winter nightgowns so I better stock up!
