I loved sitting around the house Christmas morning in my vintage nightgown knitting. It felt so 1800's!! The length of this gown is perfect for my 5'4" height and the amount of material used to make it guarantees wrap around warmth. It does ride up a bit while I sleep which is why I only gave it 4 stars, but I sleep in pj's and throw this on in the am. Wonderful nightgown!

A beautiful nightgown
PostedDecember 29, 2009
I have been eying this nightgown for a couple of years, but this Christmas I finally asked my husband for it as a gift.
I haven't worn a nightgown since I was a little girl, but have been trying to get back to the simple things in life recently, and this nightgown seemed to fit the bill.
It's like something out of Anne of Green Gables!
I love the nightgown.
It's just long enough to keep me warm, but not that I'm tripping over it.
The details and the quality are superb, and it is definitely worth every penny.
Best of all, it's WARM. I couldn't believe it. I usually wear flannel pajamas (shirt and pants) and this was so much warmer. It doesn't get all twisted in my sleep like pants do, which I was surprised about.
It is a generous fit but not frumpy, and the color (indigo) is very pretty. It's like the color of a high-quality blue ink. The background is an off-white, not white the way it looks on the web site, but it's still a flattering shade.
I wasn't sure about the sizing, but the Misses' Small fits perfectly. I am 5'5'' and about 130 pounds. My only complaint is that I wish the sleeves were a tiny bit longer, but this is a minor quibble.
If you are looking for a nightgown with Victorian details, beautiful colors, and a warm night's sleep, this is for you!
I am definitely going to ask for the red next year!

Not Itchy!

On the eternal quest to find a nightgown with no lace, no elastic. It seems all the flannel nightgown I saw in the stores had lace at the neck and elastic at the cuffs. This nightgown has neither. The cuffs have buttons and the top has cute pintucking. Even though I am only 5'3" I did not get the petite because I figures it would shrink a bit. It did, but only a bit and I like my nightgown to reach the ground. Sized accurately. Soft after washing. I got both colors and wish they had a third, especially as it is now on sale.

The heavier weight flannel is so soft and warm! I absolutely love this nightgown.
