I bought one last year, and just bought two more in different colors. After many washings, it has gotten more comfortable an shows no signs of wear. Nice and roomy but true to size, and LONG! I'm 5'7", and it is mid-calf on me.
I bought this nightgown because I wanted something warm but still cute and this does the trick. The only suggestion I have is the sleeves. They are a bit of a pain because they do not slide up your arms easily (like when you want to wash your hands etc). Maybe elastic would be a better option verses the buttons??? Other than that, no complaints!!! Washes well and still hasn't shrunk.
Every winter I treat myself to a new vintage flannel nightgown. This year I was very disappointed to find that the cotton flannel was so thin it wasn't warm at all, and probably would not last. This is the same one I got last year, which was warm and thick. I will not order this from L.L. Bean again.
I just love this nightgown. It is warm, the sleeves are fitted at the wrist so do not fall over my hands and the button neck lets me feel as breezy as I want! Christmas morning would not be the same with out warm flannel keeping me warm while preparing breakfast before all the pandemonium with gift opening begins.
