Great nightgown, shoulders, armholes and sleeves do not bunch or pinch when moving or sleeping. The flannel is soft to touch but sturdy. Ivory and blue pattern is lovely. Gown falls to ankle. Pintuck pleats, cuffs and collar are well sewn. Side pockets would have been nice but overall I am pleased.
Many of the reviews recommended buying one size down but that was a mistake for me. The size small did not give me enough room in the chest and shoulder areas. I exchanged it for my usual size medium and it fits fine. I am 5'2, 125 lbs. I bought regular, not petite, and the length is fine at my ankles or maybe a couple inches higher. The material is very nice, covers without being revealing, and is not clingy. From the waist down there is a lot of material. Not sure if that was to accommodate large bellies and bottoms but I'm ok with it.
I have been buying these nightgowns for several years and have loved the warmth and quality of the flannel. Alas, this year when I received my purchase of the Barberry dobby I was quite disappointed to find that they are a thin, limp cotton that are not as thick as the two year old, heavily washed garments they were purchased to replace.
