I love this nightgown. I'm a bit too tall at 5' 3" for petite and a bit too short for misses so trying to fit me has always been a challenge. I love nightgowns that just about touch the floor and finding them has always been an ordeal. Absolutely love this nightgown. This gown does fit a bit bigger than excepted, but I am glad of it. Extremely comfortable and warm.
Cheapness strikes again! These used to be luscious, thick soft flannel, now no more. Cotten perhaps, but NOT flannel, thin, for some reason covered in ridges, smelly out of the bag. When I finally get the size right I will keep them because there's not much quality out there, but for the price they really don't cut it. LL Bean, we've counted on you.
This nightgown is every bit as wonderful as the reviews. However, beware that it is very very long. I am a few inches over five feet tall and never order petites because usually they are too short and the rise in pants is not long enough, so I ordered regular misses in these nightgowns. MISTAKE! Even after washing, they drag the floor. I am glad the colors I ordered are still in stock in XL petite and LLB is sending them out. I know many of the reviewers are saying to size down, but the roominess is the point in this style, the full fit is the way it's supposed to be. Also, if you are busty you will need the room across the chest and shoulders. This is a great nightgown and you will want to hang out in it all day. I feel sorry for the ladies who need women's sizes (sometimes I prefer those to XL) because there is no women's petite. That would be a great addition to LLB's offerings next year.
I've been wearing this nightgown in indigo for many years. I wore through the elbow on one, and am purchasing a replacement. I love this nightgown for reasons many other reviewers gave - doesn't tangle in the sheets at night, warm, smooth, comfortable. Except for the elbow, it still looks fresh, even after so many wearings! I almost look forward to winter every year so I can wear it again.The only nightgown for me! By the way, I wanted one for several years before I bought it - I thought it was a little pricey. It is so comfortable and wears so well that it is well worth the price.
