I needed a warmer nightgown, and this one is perfect. Comfortable fit. Sleeves long enough to not bind while sleeping. Washes well. And it is actually stylish, too. I'm a size 6, and I'm very happy with the size small.
This nightgown is a combination of something a Grandma would wear on Little House on the Prairie. My husband laughed when I put it on but he's the one who is cold and cuddling me! The fabric isn't that warm or heavy but there's a lot of it, feels like yards and yards. I'm not buying another one but definitely keeping this one. It's good quality so it will last a very long time.
While the material is a very nice soft flannel that I have come to expect from ll Bean, the sizing was off by a size. Much to large. I didn't like the bottom hem in front dipping down much lower than the back. I did keep one because of the fabric but would have purchased all three if the styling were different. All in all, I did keep one, didn't I?
I own three pairs of this nightgown, the most recent is the lavender color. I love these nightgowns! They're super soft and get softer with each washing. They don't shrink and are very generously sized so if you order one size down from your usual size, there's still going to be extra room! I purchased the petite sizes and that made all the difference in the word; the hem and sleeves fall to just the right length on me. On cold nights I pair the nightgown with thermal bottoms and they make a great team. I have purchased a nightgown for my mother and she said it was just the cut and style she's always wanted.
