My Husband ordered me 3 of these for Christmas! I love vintage looking nightgowns and this is by far the prettiest ones I have ever seen! They are soft. hey wash and dry well with no shrinkage! I got the Indigo Dobby, the Barberry Dobby and the Pale Mauve Dobby! The Pale Mauve Dobby is my favorite because the color is not a baby pink but a true mauve! They are true to size. I am 5'3" and 120lbs and a small is perfect with plenty of room to move. It almost touches the floor but is about 3 to 4 inches off of the floor. So, they are very long! I love the beautiful pleats in the font and back! They are perfectly sewn and the quality of this nightgown is above what I expected! I will have these for years to come! I am a newbie to LLBean but I will be back! :)
Material is thin. There is excess material hanging from chest that looks terrible. It might work for a flat chest but definitely not for mine. Easy return.
Received this and a plaid flannel nightgown yesterday. Plaid is definitely flannel; this one, hardly--if at all--brushed so not the softness I expect from flannel. Sill haven't decided if I should return it. Disappointed. Similar pattern from a few years ago definitely still flannel and has been worn many times.
I bought this nightgown this fall and absolutely love it. I am a person who is always cold so it is perfect - high neck and long sleeves. The fullness of the nightgown means you can move easily in it. The only problem (why I gave it a 4 and not a 5) is the sizing. I wear XL Bean T's so I ordered this in XL - too big; returned it for L - still too big. I finally settled on a M and am happy with it. Since I am Canadian this was a costly issue for me - exchange on our Canadian dollar each time I purchased/returned had me not knowing how much it was really going to cost plus having to pay return shipping costs twice. It turned out to be a very expensive nightgown!
