Wow, I was thrilled to get sleepwear that is so comfortable. Just the right length! And the sleeve cuffs don't catch on door nobs or pot handles, so you can wear it to get a cup of coffee and breakfast. LLBean's clothes is actually so well made, it's a pleasure to wear! Always quality and affordably priced, I bought an extra after wearing it!
I wanted a soft, warm nightgown so I ordered this one advertised as flannel. There is nothing "flannel" about this thin nightgown.
The dictionary describes flannel as: A kind of soft-woven fabric, typically made of wool or cotton and slightly milled and raised.
This nightgown is not soft or slightly milled and raised. It's thin material, not soft or warm, and I see nothing flannel about it -- then I saw the "Made in China" tag. The stitching, however, is nice.
Unlike other reviewers, I found the fabric to be plenty thick enough. It is exceptionally soft and cozy. I would have given 5 stars if not for the sleeve length. I am 5' 9" and 135-ish lbs. I originally ordered the medium, but the sleeves were barely 3/4 length. I returned for a large and though the sleeves are still quite short, I decided to just deal with it because I loved the garment so much. The hem on the large hits me about 5 inches above the ankle (partially because it is too big elsewhere.)
I have been purchasing this style of the LL Bean flannel nightgowns for years, many years and let me tell you, the quality has changed. The quality is now very poor. They are NOT made of the superior flannel fabric that they used to be. I don't know what happened to my L.L. Bean but the material thinness for these Michigan winter months is unacceptable. PLEASE BRING BACK YOUR QUALITY FABRIC. I now am ordering these somewhere else.
