As another reviewer stated, this gown is not flannel as advertised. I have ordered this gown several years ago and was very happy and assumed I was getting the same product. Though the detailing is still the same, the fabric quality is poor, sizing off, and the price significantly higher. For the price paid, I believe I can do better elsewhere. Sorry LL Bean. I plan to return this item.
I am 5'2" tall and have a medium in this nightgown which was way too big, so my 2nd one I ordered a size small which is perfect and also the length is just right.
If I ever order this gown again, I would wait until LLBean sells a gown with a much heavier flannel material for Canadian cold winter nights as others have said.
The only other issue I have with this nightgown is that you almost look pregnant wearing it as there is too much material below the bust line in front where the pin tucking is.
This is the MOST comfortable flannel nightgown I have ever found. It is warm and soft and now the only thing I wear in the winter... and it has lasted for several years!
