After reading reviews I was anxious to order this gown for the winter I ordered it one size smaller then I wear because of the shearing and I wish I had of ordered it two sizes smaller it is big. So when it came in I noticed threads everywhere that needed clipping so I got to work doing the seamstress job, quality wise a little disappointed for the price but I liked it none the less. I cut off the tags because they irritate me and washed it and then put it on, hey it was my birthday and comfort seemed just right until my daughter faced timed me and as I raised my arm she noticed a big hole under the arm about four inches, it looks like it was sliced beside the seam so I just got finished fixing a obviously damaged and seconds gown my advice check it carefully before cutting off tags so you can return it, that's my bad and I'll remember it next time...
This review is about my colour choice which I am very unhappy with as it is not a soft cream (which I had expected) not even a boring beige. I thought it might improve with washing but it looks like it was dipped in a sour yellow then washed and then shipped to me! I have one in blue and it is lovely but for those of us that are affected by the colours that surround us stay away from the beige/cream it is so depressing. Otherwise, I am a contented LL Bean customer, their quality is wonderful and I've now branched out and purchased DOG products which are loved by my two Scottish Terriers.
Let me start by saying that this is one of the most comfy, roomiest, softest nightgowns I have ever worn. I received it about 4 years ago as a gift and it is still going strong despite how often I wear and wash it. I love it so much I am guilty of turning the AC to near freezing in the summer so I can wear it. I am not really sure about the review I read where the reviewer said that it is not flannel. It certainly is flannel. The description is not wrong.
I love this nightgown. It was a much appreciated gift a couple years ago. I live in the far North of Canada where our winter temps can reach -60F. I am 5'8" and usually have a problem finding nightwear that is long enough. Not so with this. It keeps all of me warm and cozy. I do not have a problem with the cuff, as another reviewer commented.
