The arms are adequate length for my tall frame. The material keeps me warm but I do not get too hot during the night. This nightgown does not ride up on you while you are sleeping. I bought one and then two more because I was so happy with the fit and feel.
I have 3 of these gowns now, and I love them during cold weather. The fabric is very soft, they're warm, and best of all, the fit is loose with nothing binding you anywhere. Highly recommended.
I got the pink dobby nightgown and really love it: very soft, roomy, cozy, perfect. So I got the indigo one too, but it's on an ivory -- almost light tan --background which makes me look somewhat deathly. LLBean, please change description. It looks white in the photo.
I would actually give this a 3.5-star rating. I like the style and color (although it was my last choice, all other colors having been sold out), and the nightgown is plenty (perhaps overly) roomy. But the quality of flannel is a disappointment. Instead of the thick, soft brushed nap I was expecting (given the hefty $60 price tag), the material feels stiff and more like regular cotton than flannel. It has not fluffed up with washing and it is not as warm as I had hoped. I miss the coziness and quality of the old Lanz nightgowns!
