It may sound strange that I am excited about socks but I suffer from cold feet. These socks are so warm. I plan to buy more. Thanks for a great transaction.
I like my once broken ankle well hugged and some color around the top of my combat boots. No more Red Cross shoes like my grandmother wore. My sock drawer is running over with good wool and the boot makers are giving me choices too.
While the quality of the socks seemed very good, they are two to three times thicker than a standard pair of socks. This would be great if you're using them like chunky slippers or wearing them with shoes a size or more too big, but not for wearing with my regular, appropriately sized shoes. I returned my purchase and intended to shell out for another set of Smartwool socks instead.
(I'm a woman's size 6 shoe and purchased men's style size medium -- they were oversized on my feet, but might have shrunk if I'd washed them.)
I purchased several pairs of these socks for my husband and son to wear this winter with boots. They are very soft and warm and I love all the color combinations
