Yay, I got a hole in one!
PostedSeptember 15, 2015
One wear, one wash, one hole. Right at the seam. I've never had this happen with any sock before so this item deserves a 1 star rating for that alone.
However, they also itch. A lot!
I'm sticking with Smart Wool.

Review for Merino Wool Ragg Sock, 10" Two-Pack
PostedJuly 14, 2015
I love these socks. I buy them in an XL (I'm female and wear size 7.5 shoe). I mainly wear them around the house because my feet are always cold. I get XL, because after washing, they obviously shrink a bit. These socks are way too thick for me to wear w/ any pair of shoes I own.. Only good for indoor use or use with slightly oversized rain/snow boots in cold weather. As a kid, I used to wear these w/ my beans boots to shovel snow. Now I'm in CA, I just wear them around the house to keep my piggies warm. They are not itchy at all, and they last a long time, even with frequent washings. Highly recommend. Only wish they'd start making them in some new colors, or bring back the solid red and navy colors.

Rarely wash
PostedJuly 6, 2015
I bought a pair of Ragg socks in Norway many years ago when I was there for a skiing event. The seller told me that the Norwegians never washed them instead they wore a liner. I bought thin cotton liner socks that I washed after each wearing. I only washed my ragg socks about once a season (for about forty years) in cold water and drying on a sock stretcher. Those socks lasted until now (with absolutely no odor).
I will treat this pair the same way and I'm sure they will last the rest of my life. If not Bean will hear from me!

Ragg wool sock
PostedMay 29, 2015
I ordered the Rustic Red thinking I would receive two different color variations, but both socks were as pictured, the varied light gray and dark wool sock with a dark red top and the two yellow stripes near the top. I'm good with that. More important, I had purchased the Ragg Wool socks for years but had stopped purchasing them because of size/ shrinkage problems. I decided to try the socks again but purchased size XL, which is intended to be for size 13 - 15 .I am size 9 and the latest size I have was a L (9-12), which has shrunk to be tight and they were a replacement for an older blue pair that had shrunk so much that they were unwearable). I wash in warm water and line dry all my wool socks. The XL socks are great for me but definitely would be tight for someone with the size foot shown by LLB. I really like these socks but recommend them only with the disclaimer that ordering one or even two sizes larger is necessary.
