These are the worst socks I have ever owned. Yes, that's how bad they are. There are two problems: they are MUCH smaller than stated and the bottoms of the socks are ribbbed not smooth. Yes they contain lots of stretch nylon but this does not make up for the fact that they are especially small for their stated size. The bottoms of the socks use the same ribbed weave that is used for the tops, again likely to again allow expansion. The result is that the bottoms end up with open ribs running the length of the sock that irritates to my apparently tender feet. This effect is magnified by the high nylon content. I have never had this problem with any other sock.

These socks are the best my husband has ever had. Even while walking in slushy conditions (with sneakers!), his feet never felt cold or wet. Well worth the money for such a fabulous product!
I have several pair of these and I love all but the last pkg I got. The socks are made differently than the others. Not thick, too big, feel like cotton, not wool. Very disappointed and hoping the other colors won't follow suit. The others are wonderful! So nice and thick.

These socks are very warm without making my feet sweat. I think the key to not wearing out the bottoms is to not pull too hard when putting on boots. Love them.
