Undoubtedly warm, these socks have a fatal flaw: the utter lack of elastic to keep them from bunching up around the ankles almost immediately after putting them on. They seem to be well constructed, but this annoying tendency led me to give them away after wearing them only a few times. If you're looking for a warm sock that bunches up at your ankles, though, this is the sock for you.
I gave these as a Christmas gift. They seemed to really love them. Put them on and wore them all weekend and told me how warm they kept their feet. I will be sure to order some more for next Christmas.
I am a fan of real wool socks, but these are made thin & did not have a thick enough layer on the footbed to withstand use. I feared I would have a hole in less than a month. They could bulk up the amount of wool used so in the cold Wisconsin winters your feet stay warm.

I have worn these socks for years. They last a long time, are warm, and wash and dry well. They are thick, which is good for my narrow feet when wearing boots.
