Warm, comfortable and a great value. My feet are always cold and I get the chilblains, if they get cold and wet they actually swell and blister so warmth and dryness are important for my poor tootsies. These socks are great. I can layer them over a cotton sock or wear them alone--very versatile.
Nice quality sock, but recommend ordering one size larger than normal;they seem a bit skimpy in the fit unless you have a very narrow foot. The shorter top is too short for a winter sock. If they shrink when laundered, they will be no use at all.

Oh my, LL Bean quality shines through again. I don't shop LL Bean as often as I used to - but as soon as the guys in my house wanted wool socks for Christmas, I went right to the website.
