These are the classic wool socks for winter, and exactly as described.
I buy them for the Bean quality and very good price at that quality level.

Wool Socks are my favorite

Love them!! They keep my feet warm and I have worn out every pair of previous wool socks. I am hoping that these will hold up. I think they will!

Too thick for my shoes

These socks are soft and comfortable and I like the color (indigo). I didn't realize how thick they would be. I can probably wear them with my hiking shoes, but had intended to wear them with my everyday shoes. They make those shoes too tight.

They fit like a glove and are very comfortable, keeping my feet warm and cozy. The BEST PART is they are MADE in the USA. Wish more of LL Bean products were.
