I ordered them for myself (I wear a women's size 9 N shoe), needing some thick, warm socks to wear with casual clog/mules-type shoes. These pretty much fit the bill, although the toe seams are a bit bulky. You get what you pay for, and these pretty much fit my expectations.

I gave this as a gift and was later pulled aside for a special thanks. The gift-ee was so happy because he's a mechanic and works in a very drafty autobody shop. He never thought about wool socks.. he said he always bulks up by wearing multiple pairs of cotton socks, but when he saw these he was estatic.. over socks! Sometimes it's the little things that gives you that little warm feeling inside. :)

I have shopped at LL Beans for 40 years. I have never had a problem with their level of service. They have always surpassed my requirements. Once they replaced a zipper I broke on a coat I had purchased 20 years prior. No charge. Socks were replacements for the same version I have worn for years. They are long lasting, good looking, warm and priced right. What else could be asked ? ? LL Bean is THE MAN ! !
