I purchased 6 pair of these socks almost twenty years ago. The last pair finally wore out and I was prepared to receive a lesser quality item when I re-ordered. Since it seems everything these days is made with less than ideal quality materials, etc. NOT SO! These are the same socks I purchased twenty years ago. I am in heaven. Thank You LL Bean!

I've been buying these socks for many decades! They are well made, last many years, and are good for summer or winter. In the winter they keep your feet warm. In the summer they wick off moisture and wool does not let most foot bacteria thrive. If I only had three pairs of socks, they would all be LL Bean Wool Socks.

My mother bought 2 pairs of these for me many years ago and I only just threw the second pair out. It finally wore thin and I couldn't wear it any longer. These saw me through high school and college and beyond. I hiked to the top of mountains and wore these over my pointe shoes to keep my feet warm.
I think my mom certainly got her money's worth with these! LL Bean products last forever!
I'm sad I had to get rid of my first pairs but I'll be sure to buy more, especially as I know I won't need to buy more for another 15+ years!
