These socks are a wonderful blend of warm wool and stretchy nylon and wear extremely well. My only criticism is in the sizing. Some orders of XL have been true but some orders, even though marked XL or L (male) were very small. So it is a risk one has to take in ordering but LLBean's customer service and the return policy is excellent. Unfortunately, one ends up paying the return shipping.
These are very nice warm wool blend socks. I like that they're made in the U.S.A. The seams are thicker than I like; I like seamless socks, or ones with the seams on the outside. To remedy this, I wear some socks inside out. I like to sleep in warm socks on cold nights; seems to help me stay warmer.
These Socks are advertised to fit size 8-12. They are too small for a size 10. The socks have ridges that are uncomfortable to wear. I do not recommend this item
