These socks are soft, thick and warm. I am very happy with them. The only caveat is that they seem to run small. According to the shoe-sock size chart, medium should have worked just fine, but did not. So, the customer service person I called help me to efficiently exchange them for a large, and they came just a couple of days later (even before LL Bean can have received my return).
These are very nice socks, if your foot is very small. I bought a size large for my husband who wears a size 9.5 shoe; the socks were supposed to fit a size 9-12 shoe but once they were washed (in cold water, line dried) they were too small. They do, however, fit my daughter nicely and she wears a size 7. So ... I am not sure what man's foot is small enough for these, but they do fit a woman's foot and would fit a child also. Other than the fit issue, they are nice socks and not scratchy and seem to last well.
I have purchased these socks again because they are well made. I wear them to work everyday. My feet don't sweat and they are very comfortable. I will be reordering more next year when these wear out.
