These socks are of the best quality I've seen. They are very thick, soft and very warm. I will always order my winter socks from L.L. Bean. I highly recommend them.
I purchased these just in time for the artic blast that recently hit the deep south. These are now my "go to" socks for cold weather. The fabric is extremely comfortable and very warm. I do not place them in the dryer, and have not experienced any shrinkage. I think the 12" length might be a better choice (more coverage), but that is simply a preference.
ll bean rag wool socks are the warmest, most comfortable winter sock that I have found and fit my smaller (size 6 shoe) feet very well. They are heavy weight, but not bulky. My sensitive skin has not found them to be itchy. The blue color is accurately depicted, but the grey color seems to be more brown than grey, otherwise I am very happy with the product.
for christmas this year, i gave everyone a few of MY favorite things and i put these socks on everyone's list! they are snuggie soft and warm and tend to last for a while. perfect for this winter's weather!
