Once again the sizing at LL Bean are wrong. I purchased these socks in XL(shoe size 13-15) My shoe size is 11-12 but they are tight on my feet! I am so tired of buying and sending back.
The quality of these socks have degraded significantly over the last 2 decades. I bought my first LLBean ragg socks over 15 years ago and they are still in great shape. Several pairs purchased within the last 5 years have shrunk and worn out on the heel within the season. It is discouraging. LLBean needs to change its manufacturer.
These are perfect for cold weather wear;thick;warm;not itchy. I order them every year to get me through the winter, as I walk back and forth from the subway to my office every day-and Boston is very cold and windy! My only complaint is that they aren't available in black. Highly recommend for warm feet during a N.E. winter!
These have been almost my only socks for decades. I use them all year, in any weather, and have found them consistently excellent. Several friends have taken them up on my recommendation. (off record: two pair I received recently shrunk enough as to be unusable, and I haven't yet washed the most recently acquired pairs.)
