I've used these for many years and expect to continue to do so, but I have noticed that they do wear through at the toes and the heel quite quickly. They are warm and a pleasure to wear, and in general highly recommended. I wish that LLBean could "lean on" the manufacturer to reinforce the toes and heels, even if it cost an extra dollar or so.
I love these socks. They are great for keeping my feet toasty warm inside my hiking boots when I'm out in the cold! Even when my boots got wet, my feet were still warm and dry! I bought 2 pairs about 20 years ago from L.L. Bean and they lasted so long, and now I'm looking forward to having these last me just as long!
