Would have given these warm socks that I order every year a better rating except for two things. No washing instructions included, so I thought I was doing it wrong but after reading other reviews I guess the sheding is common. I tried all different types of washing(never hot water and usually hang dry) but they SHED. And, the heel does wear out quickly. Maybe wool detergent will work (will try next). I would pay more for better quality(love the warmth and softness)!!
My feet are always cold and I've searched locally for wool socks for women which was an impossible task. While ordering other items online, I checked out the wool socks. Lo and behold, LLBean had them for men and women in several colors. As I wear jeans most of the time, I ordered the blue ones. I've worn them on many occasions and am extremely happy as they fit well and keep my feet toasty.
These are the best wool socks I've ever bought. I would definitely recommend them. I buy them every year for my boyfriend who now has no more room in his sock drawer because they wear so well and last so long.
