I'm sure that the Wool-Blend Ragg Socks are particularly great worn with boots in outdoor activities during the Winter time. However, I am a self-described "Couch Potato", who put them to good use indoors, as well. I always reach for my Raggs in those cold New England winter evenings -- when I wear them with my LL Bean Coastal Clogs around the house.
And this is my rationale for giving this product 5 stars: keeping my feet warm, my entire body temperature goes up to a comfortable level -- and I don't have to touch that thermostat --therefore, saving energy and money. I haven't calculated the savings on my heating bill, but I would say that it is significant enough to pay for several Ragg Socks per year.
Could a simple pair of socks do all that? I mantain that it can!
these are the socks I wear 99% of the time. My reason for liking them so much is that they don't feel tight at the top. although they do stay up. I wear them inside out because of the seams. I even wear them in the summer under boots for gardening. They work great under the Bean boot.
These socks are rockin warm. They are washable and tightly woven. This winter I wore them regularly instead of slippers. I loved them so much I bought a set for my sister. We are both devoted to slippers and since I am convert, I sure she will be too.
