I have long, narrow feet (14B shoes). My brother suggested wearing heavier socks for shoes which don't offer much range in width. These socks do the job! And I especially liked the suggestion of washing them inside out.
I think these are the greatest socks for the area in which I live. They fit over lightweight socks and can be worn separately in shoes or boots. They are also machine washable and dryable. They will also last a long time since they are made from merino wool.
Recommend greater reinforcement of the heel and toe areas to prevent premature disposal of socks. These areas always wear out first while the rest of the sock is fine.
I bought the 16" length for my husband to use on our recent ski trip to Canada. They were perfect for the ski boots because of the height, warmth and softness. They washed well too.
