I bought these as a gift for my 27 year old boyfriend and he LOVES them. He wanted wool socks as a Christmas gift and I know LL Bean is a trusted brand---they definitely came through on this gift! He has even said he wants to get on and purchase more. We live in Ohio where winters can get quite chilly---he is so excited to get use out of these new wool socks!
His comments: they don't itch, they are really warm but don't make his feet sweat, and they are very comfortable!
He would recommend them & so would I...I have a feeling I'll be stealing a pair for myself :) It's a good thing these come in a pack of 2...
I already owned two pairs of LL Bean ragg socks from LL Bean. I ordered these so I would have more in my sock drawer. I like the colors but more importantly, they keep my feet warm and I wear them constantly. I wear them for daily activities but also they keep my feet warm for cross country skiing and snow shoeing. They wash beautifully and look and feel as good as the day they arrived.
I LOVE my socks, took me right back to being 4 years old, staring at my toes!! I have the cutest toes EVER!!! Red with cream colored toes, and the stripe at the top, Adorable! Normally I wash stuff before wearing, but these are NOT coming off! If I were really 4 and not 54, I could slide across the house in these, and then go down the stairs on my butt, good thing we don't have stairs! I have a blue pair too, they came as a set, wish these were carried all the time, so glad I bought two sets. Bestest Christmas gift EVER...yeah...I know...I opened them a day early! Told you, back to 4 years old!!
i'm a woman who wears a size 8 shoe. i bought these socks on purpose in men's size XL because i just wanted them to wear to bed or around the house with slippers because i'm too cheap to keep the heat very high in my condo. if they're a men's size XL, why do i have such a hard time just getting them over my feet? they're fine once they're on and my feet are nice and warm. but i really question the sizing. plus, i ordered grey and if you look really closely at the yarn, it is a pale beige-ish grey. but overall the color registers as beige. i hate beige.
