Like many of the reviewers, I found these ragg socks to be completely different from the product I've been buying for 40 years. They have less wool and more stretch, and the old reliable indigo blue was discontinued. The sizing is very different. I wear a size 10 shoe, and the size large sock is not wearable. The size XL seems OK. I think if you wear a larger than a size 10 shoe, you should hesitate about buying this sock. I think that some of the other Bean wool socks, costing only slightly more, might really be a better substitute.
I somehow did not realize when I purchased these socks that they were"ragg" socks. When I saw them my response was "oh no, these are going back" as I never had a pair of ragg socks that were not scratchy and too thick. What a surprise when I tried them on. Soft, just the right thickness for me and a perfect fit. I have to get more colors. The orange and green multi don't go with enough of my clothes. They are so comfortable that the color did not matter. My only con, is not about the socks but how they were described. I was not aware that the ones I purchased would be orange and green.
These are my and basically my entire families favorite socks for fall and winter. I wear them every day I wear wellies or bean boots. Even when I wear my slippers I throw these on for extra warmth and cozy. Awesome socks.
I work in construction. Construction work boots are brutal on socks. and theses socks have lasted over one and a half years so far. They are wool, don't put them in the dryer. I just ordered more and will be ordering as Xmas gifts as well.
