These are my favorite socks, not just for winter. Wool socks are great in summer and winter because the wool repels sweat from the skin. I work in a barn and these keep my feet warm in winter, cool in summer and can withstand being in heavy boots for long periods of time.I find them warmer than the Smartwool brand, which are too thin for my tastes. These are wool, so if you put them in the dryer they will shrink a little. They stretch right back when you put them on and are extremely durable. If you are worried about sizing, order up. These are the best wool socks for the money! Love the dark colors.
I bought these for myself after Christmas. I bought the Medium size as I wear a size 8, sometimes 7.5. They are my warmest socks and I have been wearing them with my wool scuff slippers. I have a feeling I will still have these 10 years from now to wear in winter.
A good basic rag sock. Works well with the boots I bought. The toe of one sock developed a hole after just one wearing . It wasn't in a place of stress, it was on top of the foot so I figure it was a flaw. I'll darn it at some point but they're out of rotation until then. Otherwise, they do the job. I don't put wool in dryer in general and they fit fine.
