These socks are everything I hoped they would be. They are warm, comfortable, breathable, not even slightly scratchy. True to other reviews though, they do run small. I am a women's size 7, and I got the mediums. They fit me fine even after putting them in the dryer, but the label says they would work for up to a size 10. No way. I doubt a foot bigger than mine would fit in them. I would have rated them a 5 if the sizing were more true.
I returned these socks today. I purchased size medium based on the L.L.Bean shoe size chart. This sock is outrageously undersized. Very disappointed. Please note other socks purchased at the same time fit perfectly.
I ordered these in anticipation of our coldest weather in 2 years (temperatures never got out of the low teens for several days). They have exceeded my expectations! Very warm and comfortable, a nice fit for regular boots and my LL Bean boot slip ons. Won't be without them again!
My son needed wool socks to see him through the Fayetteville, Arkansas winters. The sizing was correct, the quality is excellent. I have a happy "boy"!
