I keep cold feet and I am always trying to find a warm sock without alot of bulk. THIS IS IT...My feet are warm and have been all day in and outside. I will buy more of these myself.
Good for Raynaud's, but small for men size 11 shoe
PostedJanuary 4, 2013
I suffer from Raynaud's syndrome, and these socks have been a great help, especially when worn with a polypropelene wick-a-way liner. It is good that they don't have a built in arch support, and they are not too tight around the ankle and above; making them more comfortable to wear. I do find them to be sized too small...an XL is barely large enough for my size 11 foot. Having to wear a liner makes them even tighter.(I would suggest LL Bean drop the unisex sizing and go with standard men and women's sizing.) They can be a little itchy, but the liner takes care of that issue as well. All in all, very pleased.
These socks are great. I have been wearing L.L. Bean wool socks for decades and these continue to have the same great quality as they did 30 years ago. The socks keep my feet and toes warm in all kinds of cold weather. Paired with the right boots, they keep my feet warm and snug. LL Bean's ragg wool products are top notch.
I bought these as Christmas gifts, and everyone loved them. Very warm but breathable, washed and dried well. We actually had snow on Christmas day which is rare, with a loss of electricity for days. These kept my feet warm with no heat in the house!
