I had 1 pair from last year that had a flaw in them so was heistent to purchase more. But the second pair from last year performed like a champ so why not give it another shot, well 3 shots (1 dual set I shared with a friend). The are thick, so I ususally wear them with my wicked warm sheepskin slippers, then wth lace shoes so I can make sure they fit comfortablly outside. Either way, my feet are warm and I don't have to think about finding something warmer. They wash just great too - no shrinking or bunching - just look like new.
These socks were a gift for my boyfriend who liked them immediately and on the same day he got them tried them out in cold weather. He liked them even more after trying them out.
He especially likes the fact that they do not have a tighter and fitted band around the mid foot section. It is hard for him to find winter wool socks that do not have this band around the foot. These are definitely keepers!!
