I wear an 81/2 shoe and so picked the medium from the size chart. Put mthe socks on over my bare feet and my toes felt scrunched from the top and the sides felt like they were cutting my blood off. Thought maybe just need to break-in. Wore them around the house for an evening. Felt real good to finally take them off. Exchanged them for the large size and they were just right. Can't always go by the size chart. Thank goodness for LL Bean liberal return policies.
These are great socks. I've ordered a lot of them over the last few years. However, more recently, there have been serious quality issues. Once I was sent the wrong size, mislabeled. And very recently I was sent socks that had a defect at the toe seam. I re-ordered the socks, and a couple of the new socks had the same defect! That's a problem.
