Men's XL too small
PostedNovember 18, 2012
I have ordered Ragg Wool products from LLBean for many, many years - including socks. When these Men's Size XL arrived, I checked the size before wrapping for my son (size 13 shoe#. They looked very small in the package, so I pulled them out. They actually fit me #Ladies Size 8) - don't know what has happened to the sizing/manufacturing on these socks. I am returning today.

best socks ever
PostedNovember 16, 2012
I have some from twenty plus years ago too. The most recent ones I purchased were two years ago. They are just as great as the day they arrived. They are used seasonally, but during the winter, they are used frequently. My husband hunts and works in them, so they do see a lot of action.

Love Those Ragg Socks
PostedNovember 8, 2012
I've been wearing these socks for thirty years. I am writing this review because I want LL Bean to know I hope they never discontinue them!! All these high-tech socks can't replace the real thing. I wear them alone (in shoes), or with a light sock underneath (in winter or hiking boots). Have worn them on many a hiking and camping trip, but they're also good hidden under wool slacks. Warm and always a good fit, even when wet. They last a long time (for me 3 years or so) - they're even worth darning. I recommend washing them in the washer with a fabric softener in the rinse to keep the wool supple, and then hanging them to dry. Easy enough to line them up on a drying rack with clothespins.

Warm and dry feet
PostedNovember 7, 2012
These are incredibly comfortable socks. They keep your feet warm and dry--great wicking. Indoors you can lower your thermostat!
