Perfect. Warm and snug. I have small feet and the small is not too big.
I machine wash and hang to dry. They are really wonderful.

i've been wearing this style for years.
good, old fashioned socks of heavy wool, last a couple of years, rotated as a set of four or five pairs.
only the 'grey' socks fit as expected.
march 2012 i ordered a pair of charcoal coloured size large, and the foot part was 2.5 inches (!) shorter than my size large grey pairs.
the coloured socks seem to shrink a little, whereas the greys do not.
so, i order greys in size L, otheres in size XL.
