These socks are warm and comfortable. I bought a pair of black ones. I bought two more pair before the heel on the first pair became threadbare, although the heel and toe appear to be reinforced. Worn with with different shoes, I can't fault the footwear; other socks don't thin so quickly. The second pair also felt right - weight, warmth, comfort, style. However, after only one wash, there's a hole in the heel of left sock. The third pair, thus far (two washes) are wearing well, or I'd give a two star rating, not three.
These warm wool socks are totally itch-free. I have very sensitive skin and could never wear wool, but my feet are cold and I took a chance on these. They are also long enough to wear with high-top shoes and boots. They are wonderful and I'm ordering more.
These socks have lasted through multiple washings. They've kept their shape and still look new.
I bought these socks for hiking but, instead, wear them around the house when the temperature drops. These socks are thick and, as such, would be perfect for any type boot (which I don't wear).
Only negative comment is that the color selection is somewhat masculine looking. .
We loved the quality of the socks, but the sizing is just too small. My husband wears a size 13 shoe, so we ordered the XL. They are at least a size too small for his feet, and unfortunately there are no larger sizes. I would recommend these socks to someone who can order a larger size.
