I was looking for a Royal Blue shirt to wear for Diabetes Awareness as well as school activities as that is our school color. While the shirt is of excellent quality and fit (as usual), the color is not what I expected.
It is listed as Cobalt Blue. After ordering other items in Cobalt (from LE) that were just the right color, I was very disappointed to see the color of this shirt. It is definitely a purple-y color. Even my husband who is not gifted in the color department noticed it.
If you are looking for a purple shirt, then this is the one for you. If you want blue, look elsewhere.
I have purchased this shirt for years and years, but now it is no longer available in women's sizes. If you are looking for a good quality shirt, this is it, but LL Beans only wants to see Misses in this shirt, not Women. If you wear a women's size and want quality, now you must be content with crew neck or shell. I am so disappointed and will look elsewell for my tees from now on.
This shirt is one of my favorites! i bought this in many colors and love them all. They great for wearing with another shirt or by itself. They're are flattering to the female figuure , not boxy.
I've been wearing a medium in LLBean tops for years and they've been more or less the same, varying slightly from style to style. I have the 2005 version of this shirt which is about 22" long. The shirt from a few years later, maybe 2009, is around 24" long which was already a bit long on me. And this one, from 2013, is a full 25" long, but it feels a lot bigger overall. The shoulder seams droop off the ends of my shoulders, and the sleeves end past the tip of my thumbs (whereas older versions of this end right where they should, at the wrists).
It is frustrating that the sizes have changed so drastically and so suddenly, requiring me to return and exchange my entire order!
