I own a lot of pima cotton tees, but none bought recently. I had so many colors and they last forever, but I finally needed a new one. The old ones I have are all medium and while I have gained some weight, I still fit into them quite well. So I ordered the new shirt in medium............and it is a bit too tight. Kind of form fitting, which I don't want at my age. At the same time, the shirt is a lot longer than my old ones. A lot. This could be due to shrinkage of the older shirts, but I don't really remember these shirts ever being as long as the new one are. If you are tall, this could be a good thing. I, however, am 5'3" and don't want a tee that almost hits the top of my thighs. If I order a size up to get the fit I want, the length will probably be even longer.
I am still thinking about what I should do. I will return this one and may still try the next size up. I have always enjoyed these shirts, the quality and softness speaks for itself.
Oh, and by the way, I can't order petite because I have extra long arms. Not sure why these shirts are now made as long as they are.
Finally, these shirts are long enough so I don't have my stomach bared when I reach up to get something overhead. Previous shirts I've ordered were way too short, and I'm 5' 5", 150 lbs. and by no means long waisted. I was so disappointed with some of my earlier orders. These shirts are just right. Love the soft fabric, and these shirts can be worn almost anywhere. Easy to accessorize!
At first, I thought I had bought the wrong size, but this is a light-weight but very nice v-neck. I actually wear it over a yoga top to my class in winter when I need just a light, non-drooping covering on my arms. Comes out of the dryer ready to wear.
