I am a thirty year customer who lives in Maine and buys a minimum of 3 pima cotton shirts each winter and summer. In the past, buying this shirt was a no brainer - it fit well and washed well. This year, there were changes made to the body sizing. A size extra small is now 2 inches wider than last year's fit. This is the equivalent to buying the next size up. The garment hangs on me; it is WAY too big. More disappointing was the lack of color fastness. I washed the garment before wearing it, and now my white bra matches the shirt in color. This is not typical of the LLBean quality in size or wear that we expect from Beans. I would not recommend this shirt at all! Most disappointing, because when buying the wonderful LLBean sweaters, I always buy a pima cotton shirt to match, but not this year.
Best all around shirt ever. I love these PIMA shirts. So luxurious and so comfortable. I wish I could replace my whole wardrobe with PIMA made LL Bean clothes. Looking forward to buying the PIMA sheets.
I purchased one of these back in 2010 and LOVED it. When I returned to Maine this summer I bought one in every color. I have worn them several times and they are all begining to pill all over ever so slightly. I am so disappointed. A pilled cotton shirt looks awful. Thank goodness for the guarantee because these are going back.
This shirt coordinates in color with Bean sweaters, which is why I bought it. It is a nice weight in fabric, not too thin like some other company's shirts.
