Best T-Shirt Ever
PostedFebruary 14, 2011
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable
I just love the fabric of this t-shirt. It is soft and light but substantial to drape and not cling. It washes like a dream and air dries without need for an iron - perfect for travelling. And it doesn't shrink upwards. It looks better quality than designer tops. Am back on site to order some more!

I love PIMA! Why is is it so hard to find on LLB?
PostedJanuary 7, 2011
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, other sizes needed, need more with lycra, need more with 3/4 sleeve, need womens petite, need womens short, need more petite, hard to find other sizes
I've been a big fan of Pima (and Supima) cotton for years. It is the BEST cotton by far. Stays soft, and lasts longer with good care.
My own preference (going against the crowd I know!) is Pima with a small amount of Lycra or elastane as LLB calls it. This PREVENTS any shrinking which ALL cotton does over time, and I believe it helps keep the colors from fading too.
Of all the Pima tees/turtlenecks and so on that LLB has this year---not very many--only one I've found has Lycra in it, and that one is not made in either Petite or Womens' sizes.
I am very frustrated at how few womens' or petites LLB carries anyway...and finding them seems to be an exercise in stress: you have to "open up" each item to see what sizes it comes in. The search engine is of little help, just try entering
Pima with Lycra or any variation on those words--you get nothing back even though they do carry it.
Also, while venting (!) what is it with all the tissue thin shirts "meant for layering"? I don't WANT to layer. I want to be able to wear a tee or whatever as it comes.
My other complaint is why does LLB, unlike their main competitor, NOT carry any womens' petite or womens' short sizes? Not just in pants, but shirts as well, as we short people have proportionately shorter arms, etc. I can buy womens' but in long sleeves I have to push them up. The popular 3/4 sleeve length, which LLB carries few of, is perfect in that situation, and I hope those stay around for a while!
I recommend Pima/Supima cotton very highly; and Pima/Supima with a little bit of lycra elastane even more....but good luck finding it, and you're out of luck if you're not a "regular misses" size. I downgraded this shirt to 4 stars only due to the above mentioned problems. The shirt itself is pretty and very soft, as it should be.
