This is my first boat & tote. I have always wanted one. I ordered the small zip-top to use as an everyday handbag, and it's plenty big - plus it's unbelievably strong and sturdy. If you don't think you'd want one, you might be wrong.
We have a number of Bean's B&T's in the house that we use for so many purposes. They are simply the best! Recently, a few colors went on sale and looking to replace my extra-large tote, I tried the seasonal Bittersweet color, monogrammed of course. While the bag is as superb as usual, the color is FAR lighter and more pink/coral than what is shown on the website. I'm not sure I like the color but I feel guilty returning since it was monogrammed. Oh well, this one may be relegated to yard duty. Aside from the color, can't recommend these bags more highly!
Be warned these bags are HUGE! I originally ordered the extra-large size, and it was way too much. You could probably fit your entire life into the extra-large size. I called customer service and they gladly arranged an exchange for me even with having my bag embroidered. The large is perfect for my needs. I can carry quite a few teacher's manuals and extra notebooks/binders in this bag. It is holding up well. There were a few scuff marks on the bag from being accidentally kicked, but with a rag, the bag wiped clean. I got the "dark green" color and the best way to describe that color for those of you at home is forest/hunter green. This is a lot of bag for a great price. You can't go wrong with this purchase.
