Six years ago, I bought two of these in spring/summer colors. A few months later, I bought two more in fall/winter colors.
Aside from a few marks, these are as good as they were when I bought them. They've survived falling off bikes and cars and getting dragged intentionally (not by me!) and unintentionally along sidewalks.
If and when these bags ever die, I'll replace them with more of the same.
Whatever you pay for these bags, it will be a bargain, for you will get a lot of use out of them for a long time.
I've given these as gifts to every woman in my family from birth to 60. Now as marriages occur I receive requests for this bag as a Christmas gift for the new family member. They are used as overnight bags, beach bags, diaper bags, book bags......they are so durable. Highly recommend them.....

I got the extra large bag as a gift. A co-worker told me that her bag was the extra large (she had hers for more than 20 years!), so that is what I requested as a gift. And then I received it....WOW! Either my co-worker was wrong about the size of bag she had, or the sizing has changed- this bag is HUGE! I am a knitter, sewer, general crafter, so this bag is PERFECT for me! I often do full days out and about crafting, and it holds everything (even my sewing machine!). I also use it as a vacation bag, it holds a lot of clothes, shoes, blow dryer, etc. I got the hot pink with my name on it. A lot of people tese me about how huge it is (and I am only 5'3" and holding it by the handle with my arm down it almost touches the ground!), but I think that maybe they wish tat they had a bag this awesome!! =0) I will say that when I received the first bag (with a zip top), there was an issue with the stitching that was missed around the top, leaving a gaping hole into the bag on the zip top side. I called LL Bean, and they rushed me a new bag and paid the shipping for me to return the old bag. THAT is how customer service SHOULD be, but so often isn't!
We love these bags in our family! Each person has one with their name and in a different color. When the kids went to day care we used this as their day care bag, or a "Going to Grandma's" Bag so each kid had their things in their own bag. Now we use them as carry ons when we fly and great for trips to the beach, long car rides, over night stays... anything and everything. When they are not in use we put them by the back door and put a sweater, stocking cap, extra clothes, and socks in it so we can get dressed quickly to go out side or if we need to change clothes in a hurry before we leave. I see our family using these forever!
Also a great baby gift to personalize! Fill it with diapers, wipes, and some onesies and you have the best gift at the shower!!!!
